Finland Declares Broadband a Legal Right

A one-megabit internet connection will be guaranteed to every Finn starting in July, said Finland’s Ministry of Transport and Communications on Wednesday.

But that’s just the beginning. A 100 megabit connection will be guaranteed to every Finnish citizen by the end of 2015.

Genachowski: FCC Might Regulate App Store

JuliusGenachowski Jon Healy of the Los Angeles Times has posted an audio interview with FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, covering everything from Google Voice to wireless broadband. FCC to Wireless Carriers: You Must Produce Additional Towers

133425430_b51beba0ce Federal Communications Commission chair Julius Genachowski unveiled his MBA (Mobile Broadband Agenda) today at the CTIA wireless conference in San Diego.

"I believe that the biggest threat to the future of mobile in America is the looming spectrum crisis," Genachowski said.
